Problems...

Postby Modesto on Mon Jun 25, 2007 11:16 am

Yesterday I upgraded the Boinc client to 5.10.7 from 5.8.16 and have since then seen quite a few of my SETI WUs change their status to "aborted by project". This happened yesterday and now again today... anybody know anything about this? I'm wondering if the new client is causing problems...

It could be some issues with the new version of BOINC and BORG's app. BORG is the AMD SSE3 compatible with the new BOINC version?
There's too much blood in my caffeine system...

Dunno, it happened in the beginning, now it seems to be fine... I hadn't changed to the latest app when I wrote that, and have not yet upgraded... (tonight?)

Thanks for replying Sixpack

There have been issues reported with WU's, this does not seem to be related to running optimized apps. I had some bad ones too, they seem to have cleared up now.
Resistance is futile. Prepare to be assimilated.

Well there seem to have been some technical issues over at Berkerley, but all is well again...
Due to a server crash workunits could not be downloaded for a few hours, but running much smoother now. As you probably all know Matt frequently posts technical news, so those of you monitoring the S@H site probably know all about this, as well as other assorted technical issues. I encourage those of you who run into problems to check his posts, but above all be patient as they always work hard to resolve any issues. A big cheers to the SETI team for all their hard work and dedication :)
